CSM Level 100
The CSM Level 100 course spans one day and serves as a CSM Instructor Certification program. Tailored for shooting coaches or instructors, it is particularly well-suited for individuals coaching youth teams or serving as camp shooting instructors or counselors. Considerable emphasis is placed on the essentials of gun fitting, choice of choke, as well as point of aim (POA) and point of impact (POI) during classes, to ensure that each firearm performs as anticipated, without any unexpected outcomes. The initial phase of coaching involves selecting suitable targets. Understanding personal perception and establishing a positive baseline "sight picture" affords every student the chance to learn within the context of their own perceptions of their actions. Employing sound, proven principles of student-centered learning, all participants will learn to establish and develop solid fundamentals. Course materials will be supplied, and ample opportunities will be available for all participants to practice shooting at sporting targets throughout the day.
The philosophy of the Level 100 Sporting Clays course is built upon four core principles.
Earned Success: Enhancing coaching and playing skills is the key to victory, and true success is the result of diligent work and a steadfast commitment to the sport.
Challenge by Choice: Every individual possesses the autonomy to decide their level of engagement, and each has the right to experience victory or defeat with grace.
Positive Experiences: Sport participation should be fun and rewarding for everyone involved.
True Sport: Sport should be about more than just winning. It should also be about the positive benefits that sports participation offers and should provide physical, emotional, psychological, and social benefits.
